The orientation relationship between deformed and recrystallized alpha- uranium can be expressed at 27.5 deg rotations about axes located 70.0 deg from the STA100!, 63.5 deg from the STA010!, and 34.0 deg from the STA00l!. ln deriving this relationship it was necessary to consider the recrystahlized grains found upon annealing deformed single crystals as originating from twins as well as from the parent crystal. Comparisons of deformation and recrystallization textures of polycrystalline uranium agree well with the finding. (auth)
