MODIFICATIONS OF THE DIFFUSION OF LIQUIDS AND OF REACTIVITY IN THE SKIN OF ANIMALS IRRADIATED DURING HIBERNATION (in Italian)

Journal Article · · Radiobiol. Latina
OSTI ID:4829289
Alterations in the diffusion of liquids in the skin and in its reactivity were compared in animals irradiated in the normal state and during hibernation. Intra-dermal injections of India ink and anti-variola vaccine were given in zones which had previously been irradiated with doses of 500 to 1500 r. It was concluded that x rays have a less intense effect on the skin of animals irradiated during hibernation, and a possible radiobiological interpretation of this phenomenon is suggested. (auth)
