MTR SHIM ROD CALIBRATIONS

The data from six Materials Testing Reactor shim rod calibrations were compiled and reduced to values of excess reactivity versus average shim rod position. The reduced data have a spread of about 20%. A curve fitted to the most recent data was used to construct a nomograph for computing the excess reactivity associated with any given change in shim rod positions. (auth)
