MONITORING OF RADIOACTIVITY IN FRESH WATER

In June 1948, the Atomic Energy Research Establishment at Harwell, Berkshire, began discharging liquid into the River Thames at Sutton Courteney. Most of the original activity in the liquid is removed by coagulation, leaving a fluents. The original test procedures and the equipment is described. (Public Health Eng. Abstr., 41: No. 9, 1961.)
