MAXIMUM PERMISSIBLE DOSES FROM INHALED AND INGESTED RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4823744
A code is presented which specifies the maximum permissible doses to organs and tissues of the body resulting from the intake of radioactive materials and applies to the operations of the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority. Maximum permissible doses are stated for radiation workers, non-radiation workers, and members of the general public. From these doses, the maximum permissible concentrations of radioactive materials in breathing air and drinking water, and on surfaces were derived. Emergency exposures to radioactive materials and records of exposure to radiation and radioactive materials are included. (M.C.G.)
