EXCITATION OF THE He$sup 4$ NUCLEUS BY 150 Mev $pi$/to the minus/-MESONS (in Russian)

An upper limit of 3.8 mb is obtained for the He/sup 4/ excitation cross sectlon in reactions pi /sup -/ + He/sup 4/ yields pi /sup -/ + He/sup 3 / + n(1) and pi /sup -/ + He/sup 4/ yields pi /sup -/ + T + p (2), at a pi /sup - / energy of 150 Mev in a diffusion cloud chamber. The total cross section, the inelastic cross section, and the cross sections for reactions (1) and (2) are presented. (auth)
