The lifetimes of Ml transitions of the g/sub 7/2 yields d/sub 5/2 type are studied for Eu/sup 147/, Eu/sup 149/, and Eu/sup 151/ spherical nuclei situate d directly below the deformation region. The half lives of the first excited states (g/sub 7/2,) for these nuclei are respectively (1.8 plus or minus 0.2) x 10/sup -10/, (3.2 plus or minus 0.2) x 10/sup -10/ and 3.4 plus or minus 0.2) x 10/sup -9/ sec and the M1 delay factors are 115, 78, and 47 in contrast to the mean value ~300 for other known single-proton M1 transitions forbidden in l. The observed small values of the delay factors and their monotonous decrease with approach to the deformation region seems to indicate that the contribution of the collective motion becomes more significant and correspondingly the 1 forbiddenness becomes weaker.
