DISTRIBUTION OF MOLYBDENUM AND TUNGSTEN IN THE SYSTEM HYDROBROMIC ACID- ORGANIC SOLVENT (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Ukrain. Khim. Zhur.
OSTI ID:4822528

Distribution of Mo and W between hydrobromic acid and ionic acid- containing organic solvents was studied. It was found that with increased acid the extraction of W decreases and the extraction of Mo increases. Extraction of W from 1.0 n hydrobromic solution by given solvents increases accordingly; isoamyl acetate < isobutynol > isoamyl alcohol > diethyl ether > n-amyl alcohol > isobutyl acetate > propyl acetate. For Mo at identical acidity the solvents follow another order; diethyl ether < isobutyl acetate < propyl acetate < isoamyl acetate < isoamyl alcohol < n-amyl alcohol < isobutanole < butanol. The molar ratio of isoamylacetate extracted molybdenum (tungsten complex) is Mo: Br = 1: 2. (R.V.J.)
