SEPARATION OF CALCIUM FROM SCANDIUM BY REVERSED-PHASE PARTITION CHROMATOGRAPHY
Technical Report

OSTI ID:4822336
Reversed-phase partition chromatography was applied to the separation of carrier-free calcium from macroamounts of scandium. At the stationary phase TBP was used and elution was carried out with 6 to l0 M HCl. The influence of the amount of scandium introduced into the column on the position of the maximum and on the shape of the elution curves was investigated. The separation tirae is about 90 minutes. The best conditions for the separation of both elements were established. (auth)
