OPERATION OF A 9-INCH BUBBLE CHAMBER WITH DEUTERIUM

A 9-inch bubble chamber in a pulsed magnetic field was successfully operated with deuterium. The closed circuit system for the use and storage of the deuterium is described. The operating conditions of the chamber are discussed, and compared with those of the same chamber when used with hydrogen. (auth)
