RESULTS OF SYSTEMATIC MEASUREMENT OF FALL-OUT IN HRADEC KRALOVE AND PLZEN, CZECHOSLOVAKIA

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4822146
Fall-out measurements in precipitations for the years 1956 to l960 in Czechoslovakia showed a similar activity trend to those in Norway. The results of measurements during the period January l960 to June l96l showed an increase in activity of rain water in March 1960 after the first French nuclear test on February l3, l960 that was pronounced but transient. Only small rises in radioactivity were observed for the other tests. Methods of measuring the fall- out are discussed. The results were correlated with meteorological data. (M.C.G.)
