DRYING OF GLOVE BOX ATMOSPHERES

The results of work to obtain and maintain dry argon atmospheres are presented. Procedures for operating dry boxes equipped with the drying system are outlined. The system of a silica gel tower followed by a commercial electro- dryer was chosen for use with the glove boxes. Although BaO and P/sub 2/O/sub 5/ had better drying powers, they were less attractive for long term drying operations. (M.C.G.)
