ON THE DECAY OF Hf$sup 18$$sup 1$

Journal Article · · Arkiv Fysik
OSTI ID:4819451

The decay of 45-day BETA - emitter Hf/sup 181/ was studied using an electron-gamma coincidence spectrometer. Gamma rays of energies 476 and 342.3 kev were found to be in cascade with 482- and 615-kev gamma rays, respectively. Beta-gamma coincidence studies indicated that the 482kev level in Ta/sup 181/ was populated by a beta decay of maximum energy 547 plus or minus 20 kev. A higher beta branch of maximum energy 1045 plus or minus 30 kev was also observed. (auth)
