STEAM GENERATOR BLOWDOWN RATE (INTERNAL INSPECTION). Test Evaluation, DLCS-3890201
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4819172
A test was carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of various blowdown rates on sludge removal from the secondary side of the PWR steam generators by visual inspection. It was concluded that the blowdown rate of 5500 lb/hr for this period was not sufficient to remove the sludge from the steam generators. On the basis of a visual examination of the boilers. it was recommended that the blowdown rate be increased to 25000 lb/hr every two weeks during Seed 3 operations. (M. C.G.)
