The manufacturing of ion exchange influent solution and operation of effluent solution were studied in the case of ion exchange separation of rare earth elements by the EDTA copper method. Consequently, it was confirmed that in the case of industrial manufacturing of influent solution and recovery of EDTA, the dilution method is adequate in thc former case, while in the latter case the continuous method is adequate in the case of copper complex salt, and the batch system is adequate in the case of rare earth complex salt.
