MICROBIOLOGICAL PECULIARITIES AND PROBLEMS OF THE STERILIZATION OF FOOD PRODUCTS BY IRRADIATION

Journal Article · · Acta Chimica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae (Hungary)
OSTI ID:4818764
It has been established that methods combining heat treatment with irradiation are the most effective. Biological studies proved that in organisms irradiated, new, biologically active agents could be formed. In order to be able to use smaller doses for sterilization purposes, it is important to increase the irradiation sensitiviiy of microorganisms. This way leads to the solution of some of the problems of irradiation-sterilization. (OID)
