674-8(Aug. l6, 1961). (In English) The inclusion of two-pion exchange effects, with appropriate phase and strength, significantly improves the theoretical predictions in proton Compton scattering of relatively short range at low photon energies. Results (graphical) show that the differential cross sections for proton Compton scattering at THETA /sub cm/ equals 90 and l35 deg are good up to 270 Mev, apart from the points at about 240 Mev, THETA /sub cm/ equal 135 deg (N.W.R.)
