THE ENDEAVOR TO DETERMINE THE TYPE OF THE NUCLEAR REACTOR BEST SUITED TO POLISH CONDITIONS (in French)

Journal Article · · Nukleonika (Poland)
OSTI ID:4818197
Studies made in Poland indicate that the heavy watermoderated organic- cooled reactor combined with steam superheater fueled with coal may best fit the need for an atomic power station. The reactor would produce high pressure steam (90 to 130 atm). The steam would be superheated and reheated to 538 deg C in a conventional superheater. This design would allow the use of a standard turbine from which better efficiency of coal utilization could be obtained in comparison with a conventional power station. (N.W.R.)
