OZONE HAZARDS INCURRED BY ELECTRON VAN DE GRAAFF OPERATION

Journal Article · · Nuclear Instr. & Methods
Solid state physics experiments employing radiations from a 2.0 Mev Van de Graaff electron accelerator resulted in the generation of significant quantities of ozone when liquid nitrogen was used as a cooling agent. Under experimental conditions the ozone produced proved to be an explosion and personnel exposure hazard for which suitable provision must be made. (auth)
