(/cap alpha/,d) REACTIONS ON ODD TARGETS
The reactlons Li/sup 6/( alpha ,d)Be/sup 8/ and N/sup 14/ ( alpha , d)o/ sup 16 were studied using 48 Mev helium ions. Deuteron angular dlstributions re obtained for energy levels in the final nuclei. They, well as distributions for the reaction C/sup 12/( alpha ,d)N/sup 14/ preusly studied, are compared with angular distributions culated from the two-nucleon stripping theory. The integrated cross sections for formation of levels of Be/sup 8/ and O/sup 16/ are discussed in terms of the spectroscopic states of these nuclei. (auth)
