THE DETECTION OF THORIUM WITH ALIZARIN S AND ITS DETERMINATION ON THE RING OVEN ACCORDING TO WEISZ (in German)

Journal Article · · Mikrochimica Acta (Austria) Published October 1938 - March 1953 as Mikrochem. Ver. Mikrochim. Acta
OSTI ID:4817440
Aqueous alizarin S solution along with perhydrol and ammonium nitrate was found suitable for the detection of thorium. Since alizarin is not a speclfic reagent for thorium, am analytical procedure is descrlbed, which is suitable for the removal of interfering substances from minerals. The thorium nitrate obtained in this way can be determined quantitatively on the ring oven. (auth)
