COMPARATIVE RESISTANCE OF SELECTED STRAINS OF CL. BOTULINUM IN SELECTED FOOD PRODUCTS. Report No. 9 (Final) May 15, 1961-November 15, 1961

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4817096

The resistance to irradiation of spores of 5 selected strains of Clostridium botulinum was measured. Food substrates selected were green beans, chicken, cod fish, pork, and beef. Spore recovery counts indicated striking differences in radioresistance among the 5 strains studied and a degree of survival of spores in the 5 food products. (C.H.)
