Progress is reported in studies on the effects of longterm maintenance on a diet of irradiated bacon, fruit compote, peaches, chicken, green beans, sweet potatoes, cod fish, and evaporated milk on rats; the carcinogenicity of irradiated bacon lipids in mice; and the pyridoxine content of irradiated beef liver, green beans, cabbage, and chicken.
