In a single whole-body x irradiation of small dose, the frequency of cell division in Ehrlich's ascites cancer was seen to increase temporarily immediately after irradiation, to decrease 8 hours, increase 12 hours later, and then to reach normal value. After irradiation with a large dose 11000 r) the frequency of cell division was considerably reduced immediately afterwards. (Abstr. Japan Med., 2: No. 5, May 1962).
