CONTROL OF SMALL RADIOACTIVE SOURCES BASED ON MAXIMUM PERMISSIBLE INTAKE OF RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS FROM SINGLE ACUTE EXPOSURES

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4815447
For radiation-control purposes a source is defined in terms of maximum permissible intake for a single acute exposure (MPI). Results are presented of a calculation of MPI using the latest-known biological data and the currently acceptable levels of internal exposure. The minimum values of Category A sources (100 MPI's) for the isotopes for which biological and physical data are available arc also tabulated. (auth)
