BIOLOGICAL HALF-LIFE OF CAESIUM IN MAN IN ACUTE AND CHRONIC EXPOSURE

Journal Article · · Nature
DOI:https://doi.org/10.1038/200188a0· OSTI ID:4173044
The hypothesis that the body content during chronic exposure may be predicted by mathematical integration with respect to time of the equation describing the retention following a single acute intake is discussed. Experiments were made to demonstrate the essential correctness of the assumption for radioisotopes of Cs. Data from acute exposure and body content and mean daily excretion of fallout Cs are tabulated. (P.C.H.)
