ABS>Focusing properties of the multi-stage system of weak lenses, as in the accelerating tubes, are considered. The lens system is treated as one thick lens in the paraxial ray approximation. Assuming that the field distribution of each lens is the same, the simple expressions for the focal lengths and the locations of the focal points of this lens system as a whole are given. (auth)
