Excitation of the 15.1-Mev level of C/sup 12/ by scattering of 151-Mev protons is studied by coincidence between protons and de-excitation gamma rays. The angular distribution of protons in coincidence with gamma rays in the recoil nucleus direction, the correlation between protons scattered at 8 deg and gamma rays, and the inelastic scattering cross section at 8 deg are given.
