ABS>Equipment is designed for monitoring coolant samples from reactor fuel channels. The equipment comprises a first monitoring means to monitor a selected group of channels at one sensitivity, a second monitoring means to monitor simultaneously the rest of the channels at a lower sensitivity, and sequence means to cause the first monitoring means to monitor sequentially all of the channels in groups while the remainder are being monitored by the second monitoring means. Thus, the equipment in effect comprises a fine scanning precipitator and a coarse scanning precipitator, the former detecting slow failures and the latter rapid failures. (D.L.C.)
