OSTI ID:4811336
Two Ineonel-X springs as specified for the 103A core were tested in eoimpression under static load conditions. Data are reported on spring constants at 80, 800, and 900 deg F, and permanent deformation values, as a function of time at 900 deg F, tested for 119 hours under a constant load of 180 pounds (68,900 psi torsional stress or 0.916 inch deflection). Load capacity loss (initial load 203 pounds or 77,610 psi torsional stress) encountered wlth the spring tested for 96 hours at 900 deg F under a constant spring height of 3.519 inches (initial deflection of 1.062) was also determined.
