ANALYTICAL METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF INORGANIC AND TOTAL PHOSPHORUS IN URANYL NITRATE SOLUTIONS AND AMMONIUM DIURANATE

The applicability of the determination methods were as follows: for inorganic phosphorus, wlthin the range 1 to 15 ppm for ammonium diuranate and 1 to 15 mu g/m1 for uranvl nitrate solutions based on samples containing 1 gm of uranlum; and for totaI phosphorus, in the range of 2 to 30 mu g/ml for uranyl nitrate and 2 to 30 ppm on as received samples of ammonium diuranate. No systematic blas was detected in the accuracy. The precislon for the inorganlc phosphorus determlnations at the 12 mu g level is plus or minus 10% relative. (auth)
