CONDUCTOMETRIC STUDIES ON THE PRECIPITATION OF SODIUM AND AMMONIUM DIURANATE

The reaction between uranyl nitrate, on the one hand, and sodium or ammonium hydroxide, on the other, was investigated conductometrically by applying the monovariation method. Job's method of continued variation was also found suitable for the study of insoluble sodium diuranate. Complete precipitation occurs at the stoichiometric point and the reverse reaction (sodium hydroxide constant, uranyl ion varying) can be used for the conductometric estimation of uranium in uranyl salts.
