e method used for measuring both release time and total drop time simultaneously. The sensor fastens to a split tube that will fit around a magnet guide tube. The sensor is illustrated by the results obtained from tests made in the Livermore Pool Type Reactor. The circuit used for measuring control-rod drop times is illustrated. The release time and total drop time for the Livermore reactor is given as it is measured on a dual-beam oscilloscope. (N.W.R.)
