GROSS STRUCTURE AND 1d-SHELL NUCLEI

High-resolution data for (1d,2s)-shell nuclei suggest that the requirements necessary for valid interpretation of gross-structure measurements are not met. Data for Mg/sup 27/, A1/sup 28/ P/sup 32/, and S/sup 33/ are discussed. There is limited evidence of similar difficulties in the 1f shell. (auth)
