An analysis is presented of the experiments performed at the ORNL Tower Shielding Facility during the months of September through Deeember, 1956 in which 2 pi covers were placed on the reactor shield and crew shield of a shield system. The analysis covers radiation penetrating the reactor shield, radiation penetrating the crew shield and the effects of 2 pi covers. Results of the analysis are compared with the data. Some of the analytical method details are included. Conclusions are drawn from the effects of the 2 pi covers. (auth)
