Experimental investigations of the distribution of radioactive colloidal gold Au/sup 198/ and radioactive colloidal gold plated with silver during intra- abdominal administration to rabbits disclosed that the accumulation of radioactive colloidal gold plated with silver in mediastinal and supraclavicular lymph nodes occurs more rapidly and in larger quantities than that of pure radioactive colloidal gold. The experimental data were confirmed by studies of the distri bution of the isotopes in 2 patients who had succumbed on the 7th day following operative intervention with introduction of isotopes into the abdominal cavity.
