FIRST 5-YEARS RESULTS OF ROUTINE INTRACAVITARY ADMINISTRATION OF COLLOIDAL RADIOACTIVE GOLD (Au$sup 198$) FOR THE TREATMENT OF OVARIAN CANCER

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4272947

A report is presented on the first 5-years results of routine intraperitoneal and intrapleural administration of colloidal radioactive gold (Au/ sup 198/) for the treatment of ovarian cancer in an unselected group of 51 patients. These results indicate that such isotope, administration is a true progress in the field of cancer therapy, since it does at least double the salvage rate of the ovarian cancer patients with surgically resectable primaries.
