DISTRIBUTION FUNCTIONS OF AN ELECTRIC MICROFIELD IN AN IONIZED GAS (in Russian)

The distribution functions for the electric microfield of a plasma can be expressed exactly in terms of pair correlation functions for Coulomb particles and a dipole in the plasma. The case of a high-temperature plasma is considered in the self-consistent field approximation. The distribution function for the potential energy of a charge in the microfield of a plasma is derived in the same approximation. In this approximation, the effect of particle correlation is essentially equivalent to cutting off the Coulomb potential at the Debye length. (auth)
