THE TRANSVERSE POLARIZATION OF INTERNAL CONVERSION ELECTRONS EMITTED FOLLOWING BETA DECAY (thesis). Technical Report No. 35

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4805197
The transverse polarization of conversion electrons fol lowing beta decay was measured for eight different decays. Decays were studied for the following isotopes: Hg/sup 203/, Pa/sup 233/, Au/sup 198/, Au/sup 199/, Ce/sup 141/, Ce/sup 144/, Tm/sup 170/, and I/sup 131/. Electron polarization was measured by Mott scattering. Results are prele sented in tables. Corrections made to the raw data are described. (M.C.G.)
