The polarization of K-conversion electrons which follo the BETA decay of Hg/sup 203/ was measured by determining the right left asymmetry in Mott scattering on a thin gold foil. The result of the polarization, P/sup e/K = (-- 0.42 plus or minus 0.18) v/c, indicates a spin sequence 5/2--3/2-- 1/2 in the decay of Hg/sup 209/ to Tl/sup 203/. (auth)
