ANGULAR CORRELATIONS IN K$sup -$ + p $Yields$ $lambda$$sup 0$ + $pi$$sup +$ + $pi$$sup -$

Angular correlations in the K/sup -/ + p yields LAMBDA /sub O/+ pi + pi /sub -/ process are investigated in terms of the LAMBDA - pi resonance (Y) isobar model. Two regions of the incident K-meson energy are considered: one gives separated bands in the Dalitz plot; the other gives overlapped bands. If the produced Y is polarized for the separated case, it is shown that the forward- backward and outward-inward decay asymmetries of the LAMBDA /sup O/give useful information to determine the spin and parity of the Yr. For the overlapped case, it is shown that there is up-down asymmetry of A decay with respect to the plane containing LAMBDA /sup O/, pi /sup +/ and pi /sup -/ in the center-of-mass system, and this asymmetry gives information to determine the parity of Y.
