After intravenous injection of hemolytic substance into healthy rabbits, the histological changes in the tissues were approximately the same as those produced by x irradiation. Therefore, hemolytic substance produced within the irradiated body, may have an influence similar to the radiation injury. Hemolytic anemia is considered to be one of the significant factors in hematological disorder due to irradiation. (Abstr. Japan Med., 2: No. 5, May 1962).
