BONE MARROW TRANSPLANTATION AS AN INDICATOR OF THE ABSENCE OF MITOSIS INHIBITORS IN IRRADIATED MICE

Journal Article · · Folia Biologica (Prague) (Czechoslovakia)

The proliferation of transplanted hematipoietic tissue It was found that the injected bone marrow proliferated in all the hosts, as seen from mitosis and the degree of DNA synthesis in the spleen and from the mitotic index ln the bone marrow. These results are regarded as evidence that no substances capable of inhibiting mitosis in healthy, nonirradiated bone marrow cells are present in the irradiated organism. (auth) .
