ON THE ZIRCONIUM AND HAFNIUM RATIO IN ACCESSORY ZIRCON OF GRANITOIDS (in Russian)

The value of the ZnO/sub 2//HfO/sub 2/ ratio in accessory zircon of granitoids remains rather constant and ranges from 35-40. The more basic (hybrid) granitoid varieties are characterized by the greatest value of this ratio (40--53) and the most acid, by the least value (21--28). In the genetically bound rock series: granites-- aplites-- pegmatites -- quartz veins zircons from pegmatites are most enriched in hafnium. The maximum enrichment in hafnium (3.0 percent) ls observed in zircons from albitized granites. (auth)
