Zircon is a widely spread accessory mineral in the alkaline rock complex of the Vishnevye and Ilmenskie Mountains. The value of the ZrO/sub 2//HfO/sub 2/ ratio in zircons ranges from 22 to 125 and so distinctly agrees with the relative age of zircon-containing pegmatites, increasing from earlier to later ones so that it may be a criterion of the relative zircon age. The considerably higher value of the conclude that the formation of zircons in miaskites is connected with the final albitization stages in the massif. (auth)
