ON THE ROLLING AND RECRYSTALLIZATION TEXTURES OF ZIRCONIUM (in French)

Journal Article · · Compt. rend.
OSTI ID:4803676

A sheet of Zr is rolled to 1.5% of its original thickness at room temperature. The rolling texture is found to be as follows: poles of the type (0002) are at el temperatures 32 f to the rolling plane; and the <1010> directions are parallel to the rolling direction. After annealing for one hour at 800 f C in vacuum, the recrystallization texture is as followsi poles of the type (0002) are at el temperatures 32 f to the rolling plane; and the <1120> directions are parallel to the rolling direction. It is concluded that the recrystallization corresponds geometrically to a rotation of 30 f about the STA0001! axis. (T.F.H.)
