A pressure vessel with its wall formed with crisscrossed rows of closely spaced apertures containing tubular means is designed for gas-cooled reactors. The tubular means are nozzles welded to the wall in such a way that nozzles extend away from both sides of the wall in an aiternating pattern to increase the access space available between nozzles to make the welds between each nozzle and the wall.
