Journal Article · · Zavodskaya Lab.
OSTI ID:4802620
A method is suggested for preparing boron carbide, boron nitride, and metallic borides by sintering with CaO, MgO, and BaCO/sub 3/. The optimum sintering temperature is 900 to 1000 deg C for 1 to 2 hours; for chromium boride, 3 hours. The method does not require platinum crucibles. (tr-auth)
