The metallurgical evaluation of burner-rig cartridges of XR-27 design tested at 1850 deg F and various dynamic heads (2.0 to 7.5 psi) is given. Results indicate no significant effect of dynamic head on the oxidation penetration in the Nb modification 80 Ni -20 Cr fuel elements. (auth)
