THE GAMMA RADIATION FROM Po$sup 212$(ThC')

Journal Article · · Proc. Phys. Soc. (London)

Decay of Bi/sup 212/ to Po/sup 212/ was studied by coincidence techniques, and gamma radiations emitted from Po/sup 212/ were distinguished from other gamma rays in the thorium decay series. An estimate of intensities enabled the assignment of multipole orders to some transitions. The branching ratio of Bi/sup 212/ and the half-life of the ground state of Po/sup 212/ were re- measured.
